About us

Find a Cheese Shop is an independent guide to the UK's cheesemongers, delis, farm shops and cheesemakers. We started it in 2026 because good cheese shops are easy to miss. Search results are full of supermarkets and national chains while the shop with a brilliant counter two streets away barely shows up.

We aren't owned by any shop or cheesemaker. A standard listing is free.

Who we list

Independent shops with a real cheese counter or cheese range: specialist cheesemongers, delis and farm shops with a proper cheese selection and cheesemakers that sell direct. We also show which shops deliver by post, make up hampers, run a cheese club or hold tastings.

How we check shops

Before a shop is listed we check its own website for where it is and what it sells. Each listing shows the month it was last checked. Opening hours change, especially around Christmas. Check the shop's own website before you travel.

Paid listings and affiliate links

A standard listing is free. Some links may earn us a small commission at no cost to you. If we introduce featured listings they will be clearly labelled. Neither affects whether or how a shop is listed.

Corrections

Shops can update or remove their listing at any time. Spotted something wrong or know a shop we've missed? Contact us or email hello@findacheeseshop.co.uk.
